Last week, thousands of creators from around the world gathered online and IRL for Meta Creator Week. Running from November 1-7, digital talent and industry execs came together in Los Angeles, Bali, São Paulo, and Delhi, with London being the center of the action. Jellysmack was proud to be a part of London’s 2022 Creator Week celebrations, including the anticipated IMPULSTAR football tournament on November 5.

Creators from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa were invited to the iconic Tate Modern to collaborate and connect with the community, escape into the Metaverse with the all-new Meta Quest, and create exclusive content with a variety of photo and Reels activations.

Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, kicked off the event with an inspiring talk about the future of Instagram, answering burning questions from creators regarding what’s next for Meta and the creator economy as a whole. Jellysmack creator partner Nas Daily, as well as digital stars Marta Sierra, Fatima Timbo, and Maliha Abidi, also took the stage to discuss topics such as growing an audience, dealing with creator burnout, putting your mental health first, and how to turn content creation into a full-time career.

Jellysmack creator partner Nuseir Yassin of Nas Daily shared insights on how to build an audience at Meta Creator Week.

Meta Creator Week offered creators access to first-person insights from both top talent and industry insiders, including Meta’s executive team. After the panels was of course, the after-party. Creators gathered at one one of London’s hottest bars, The Standard Hotel’s DECIMO, to connect and enjoy food, drinks, and live music.

Following the success of Jellysmack’s activation at IMPULSTAR Paris, we couldn’t help but return to the pitch and do it all over again for London’s tournament during Meta Creator Week. IMPULSTAR brings together the world’s best creators and footballers to participate in their famous 5-a-side street tournament. Jellysmack once again sponsored the tournament’s Gala Match, with team UK taking on the rest of the world’s creator players in an exhilarating game. While team UK took home the trophy, we still enjoyed watching opposing players Khaby Lame, the world’s biggest TikToker, and Just Riadh, show off their skills.

No IMPULSTAR tournament is complete without some hit musical performances. Rapper Russ Millions, along with Highlyy, Ashley Walter, and Oxlade got the crowd on their feet in between matches. Jellysmack also invited players and creators to participate in a 360-degree video activation to help capture all of the excitement.

Jellysmack was proud to partner with Meta to celebrate creators around the world at their second annual Creator Week. ‘Til next year, London!
