High above the glittering Sunset Strip, creators, industry partners, and Jellysmackers came together in April to celebrate what might just be our favorite day of the year: International Creator Day. Cocktails flowed and beats from DJ Lindsay Luv filled The Britely social club as over 200 attendees mixed and mingled, many finally getting the chance to bring their online fandom and digital friendships together IRL.
Among the attendees were some of Jellysmack’s premier Creator Program partners. Photographer and family vlogger, Jordan Matter, the hilarious Machaizelli Kahey of MacDoesIt, and paranormal/beauty expert, Loey Lane, made appearances, along with Tiana and Prince Maynard of Maynards TV, and Jaz Saini of Youtwotv. Towering over the crowd in their platform heels was also the queen of all queens and winner of The Boulet Brothers’ DRAGULA, Biqtch Puddin’. This drag superstar has made a name for themselves online (and even took home the prize of America’s Next Drag Supermonster) with their over-the-top beauty transformations.
Talent agents, managers, and execs from top social media platforms Meta, Snapchat, and Twitter also stopped by to get a taste of what Jellysmack is all about.
See for yourself…
Between enjoying delicious bites, rolling strikes at the club’s luxury bowling lanes, and posing at the branded photo booth, attendees were able to experience some one-of-a-kind activations. Auragami joined the action, an L.A.-based company that takes traditional aura readings to a whole new level by snapping aura photographs, capturing a person’s energetic qualities in a single polaroid shot.
Then there were The Bumbys, a pair of anonymous artists whose performance is as unique as it is intriguing. The Bumbys write up a fair and honest appraisal of your appearance in real time. Attendees stood in front of the duo as they dreamt up playful and endearing narratives around each of their subjects. Their goal is to help the world see the good in people, and individuals see the good in themselves.
Of course, everyone also went home with custom screen-printed tees and sweatshirts covered in our unmistakable logo—because who doesn’t love a statement-making piece of Jellysmack swag? It was undoubtedly a night to remember.
“The energy was nothing short of amazing,” says Jellymack Chief Marketing Officer Amber Tarshis. “There was so much talent and industry expertise in one room, all gathering together to honor and support the work of creators. Entertaining and inspiring millions is not an easy job. That’s why creators deserve to be celebrated not only on International Creator Day, but every day.”
Thank you to everyone who made this event the success that it was, and as always, don’t forget to smash that like and subscribe button.
