On August 29, sixteen amateur football teams, thousands of spectators, and over 300 creators gathered under the Eiffel Tower at the Émile-Anthoine stadium for the 11th annual IMPULSTAR Paris event. As the largest street football tournament in France, players travel from all over the country for the chance to compete in front of pros, coaches, and celebrities—and this year, Jellysmack was front and center for the action.
An event like IMPULSTAR is full of unforgettable moments that you can’t help but capture and share on social media. That got us thinking… why not make it easier than ever for creators to turn those moments into viral, must-watch videos? So that’s just what we did. With the help of our friends over at Meta, we created the first-ever Reels Studio by Jellysmack. Situated at IMPULSTAR’s Creator Village, creators and attendees dropped in to share their event videos and a few of our top editors live-edited their content into awesome, ready-to-post Instagram Reels.
Creators Hit the Pitch ⚽️
IMPULSTAR’s famous 5-a-side street football tournament has been known to feature many future pros like Youssouf Fofana and Moussa Diaby, and this year was no exception. Along with top amateur athletes, some of the most talented football players and digital creators in the game came to play and show off their skills IRL. The men’s Asnières team and women’s Sarcelles team took home the trophies as the 11th annual IMPULSTAR champions. 🏆
Team Street 2 Foot also took on the Galactikos in the Creator Gala Match, with Street 2 Foot scoring the winning goal. Among the 10 creator players was Joris Sebregts, aka akkamist, who teaches his 1.2 million Instagram followers impressive street football skills with step-by-step videos. Jack Downer, otherwise known as Streetpana (920K Instagram followers), also joined to show off his moves as a 2x Superball World Panna Champion. One of the most well-known freestyle football players in the world, Lisa Zimouche (2.1M Instagram followers) also dominated the pitch that day.
Each of the players were equipped with all of the essential Jellysmack match-day gear—a duffle bag, sport towel, water bottle, and hat.
Froyo for the Show 🍦
In between the matches, attendees caught performances by rapper Ninho and Nigerian singer-songwriter, CKay. Jellysmack creator partner and hilarious comedian, Redouane Bougheraba, also hit the pitch ahead of the Creator Gala Match with a standup set that fired up the crowd. Fans were able to enjoy a refreshing treat at the Jellysmack frozen yogurt bar on the VIP Rooftop while watching the shows.
Exhilarating matches, live performances, and the chance to kick it with some of the top football creators in the world—what more could we ask for? We can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!
