Jellysmack Is About to Go Bigger at VidCon 2022

VidCon 2022 is on the horizon, and with last year’s cancelation in the rear view mirror, we’ve got at least two years of bottled-up anticipation, plans, and even a little cabin fever fueling our hype. We’re eager to do our part in making this year’s event one for the books – and we never show up to an event empty handed.

This year’s expected 15,000 attendees will come from every corner of the globe and converge upon the Anaheim Convention Center between June 22–25. We don’t like to brag but, we do have a few slots in the convention’s lineup that you’re not going to want to miss (unless you want to be like that person who missed Harry Styles at Coachella).

First up, on the Industry Track on June 24 at 11:00 a.m.–11:45 a.m., creator gurus Colin & Samir will be moderating the “Make Your Content Work Harder for You” panel on how to extend your reach and capabilities with what you’ve already created. The speaker panel includes food connoisseurs and comedians (and Jellysmack creator partners) Julia Goolia and JP Lambiase of Hellthy Junk Food plus Jellysmack executive and co-host of the Creator Upload podcast, Lauren Schnipper.

If you’re a creator who’s already found an audience but mostly on one platform, this just might be one of the most enriching hours of your life. Don’t miss this think tank power hour, which will be located in Room 303 AB.

Later that afternoon from 2:30 p.m – 2:55 p.m., those on the Industry Track can check out an eye-opening fireside chat with Jellysmack President, Sean Atkins, hosted by reporter Amanda Silberling of Tech Crunch. Among the topics of discussion are the evolution of short-form content, the role of technology in the creator economy, and predictions about what’s next for creators.

Industry Track badge holders will also be able to stop by the Jellysmack Booth anytime to meet the team and talk about how we can help you get the most out of your content.

For those on the Creator Track, we have you covered. The second Jellysmack-sponsored panel is slotted for June 25 between 10:00 a.m.–10:45 a.m. in room 254. Creator and Jellysmack Senior Director of Creator Partnerships Cat Valdes will moderate a discussion with YouTuber and comedian Charlotte Dobre and Niki of creator sister duo Niki & Gabi (The sisters who have more than 14 million people following them across the internet. Enough said.) The topic will be “Don’t Sleep on Going Multi-Platform,” so expect to get tons of insight on the game-changing potential of distributing your content across all the social platforms.

Jellysmack’s Vice President of Community, Hugo Amsellem, will be on the scene and sharing his thoughts in several discussions throughout the weekend (see schedule below) including on what makes good content and what the future of monetization within the creator economy might look like.

Over at the Hyatt Regency hotel, Jellysmack will also have an exclusive Featured Creators Lounge complete with made-to-order coffee drinks, snacks, swag, and great company. Each night we’ll have happy hours where you can catch up with friends old and new. Special guests Colin & Samir will host Friday’s event from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Heads up, the Jellysmack Featured Creators Lounge is invite only and requires a wristband for entry that is separate from a VidCon badge.)

VidCon is the place to experience all of the online magic and wonder in real life. Creators, fans, brands — all of us together in one place! Fans make new friends, creators expand their reach, and groundbreaking industry exchanges happen here. From Anaheim to Mexico City to Abu Dhabi and beyond, VidCon is a destination for all who dwell in the community of digital creators. And we want you — whether you’re a creator, a fan, a media professional, or a brand — to be part of it.
